Yoon Joon-Shik

Abstract
Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a most common nerve entrapment. The electrodiagnositc studies are reliable tools of confirming the diagnosis, but it also has the limitations on the sensitivity and specificity for CTS diagnosis. During the few years, high resolution ultrasound has emerged as a useful tool for the diagnosis of peripheral nerve disorders. This article reviews the recent article about the ultrasound fundamental technology, finding of normal peripheral nerve, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
